Welcome to Marocco

Most my friends already know that I am in Morocco now for a while to stay with my boyfriend and to train. I have already found some nice trails just behind Ahmeds’ house. I can push or ride up between the houses and then ride down again. Its of course very dusty and lots of lose rocks are flying around when I go faster. My bike works so well. I hardly ever ride with short travel bikes so I am even more surprised how well it goes. I have built it up like a 4 cross bike but just with 3 chain rings and it has more suspension in the back. In the front I run a minute with 10cm. So that’s all I need here.
It suggests itself with a surf teacher as a boyfriend that I surf nearly every day. I wouldn’t say I am that ambitious with doing it fast perfectly. I am quite happy that I can take it easy and not surf “against the time” or have to train for a surf contest. Today we are going to buy some metal pipes. Ahmed is going to weld me a start gate so that I can train the 4 cross starts and a friend of mine lent me his Freelap watch and transmitter sticks. With this freelap system I can stop times between Point A and B. So very good - I can do training laps.
Next week I am going to Marrakech to meet Pierre Allain from a Moroccan Bike organisation. I will probably work for him as a bike guide. I am looking forward to do this.
